Berakas, Bandar Seri Begawan.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. All advertised items will be sold to the highest bidder through a two-round, sealed-bid process.
2. All bids should be submitted in person at the Australian High Commission, Bandar Seri Begawan, or by email to damien.donavan@dfat.gov.au. Bids should be submitted on the Bid Form (last page only, all other pages should be retained for your records). The person whose name appears on the form will be held responsible for all bids on the form.
3. Bids made in person at the High Commission MUST be SEALED, addressed to the “Australian Tender” Bids and placed in the tender box by 1200 noon on Friday 22 August 2008. The Tender box will be located at Australian High Commission office, Level 6 DAR Takaful IBB, Jalan Pemancha, BSB.
4. Bids made via email should include an electronic copy of the Bid Form and include the subject title “Tender”.
5. Bidders should offer their best initial offer, however, the top two bidders will be notified by telephone or email by 1pm on Friday 22 August of the current top bid for an item and will be offered a chance to make a second offer. Second round bids must be confirmed by 12pm on Monday 25 August. Second round bids can be made in the same manner as round one, or verbally by telephone.
6. Bid Forms and these “Conditions of Sale” details can be obtained from the Australian High Commission office or from the High Commission website.
7. No guarantee or warranty is made or implied by the Australian Government for the condition of the goods.
8. Goods are sold at the sole risk of the buyer, under the provisions of caveat emptor.
9. Goods grouped into lots cannot be separated.
10. The buyer is responsible for the payment of all Brunei Duties or Charges (if any) resulting out of this sale.
11. In case of a tied bid or a question regarding who is awarded the items, the seller will make the final decision.
12. Upon notification of successful bids, the total purchase price should be paid in cash at the Australian High Commission, during office hours and within three working days of notification of a successful bid.
13. All successful bidders must remove their items immediately upon payment as no warranty for loss or damage is given by the seller. Successful bidders will be responsible for all costs associated with the removal of goods.
14. The Australian Government retains the right to resell any items without notice if the successful bidder defaults on payment within three days of notification of a successful bid.
