Australian Film Festival

16 - 21 February 2010

 

The Australian High Commission, with assistance from Screen Australia and Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, will be holding another Australian Film Festival from 16 - 21 February 2010.

A Strong Regional Presence

Leighton commenced its operations in Brunei in the mid 1980s, when it built the extension to the Brunei International Airport. Currently, the business is in the process of finalising its US$ 73 million Brunei Methanol Plant project. This
offshore oil and gas project included the installation engineering, procurement and commissioning of a 24-inch diameter, 13.4 kilometre long offshore pipeline.

Leighton was responsible for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the associated PLEM and SPM systems.

The Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) is developing this facility as an export terminal for the methanol plant in the Sg Liang Industrial Park and Leighton looks forward to building on its relationship with BEDB.

FEE signed an MoU with the Brunei Government on August 25, 2007 to explore potential energy resources in the Sultanate.  FEE has been working closely with the Brunei Government to assess the feasibility of coal deposits in Brunei.
